Hello Hello!

Hello hello! My name is Derek Elliott Jr, and I am a Performing Artist residing in Northeastern Pennsylvania. I received a BA in Theatre with a Concentration in Musical Theatre Performance and a BA in Dance from DeSales University. I've been performing in musicals since the age of thirteen but started dancing while in college. During my time in college, I had the privilege of training with Dance Artists Trinette Singleton, Timothy Cowart, Julia A. Mayo, Derek Crescenti, Steven Casey, and Lara Friedman-Kats. I've performed excerpts from Paul Taylor’s Cloven Kingdom restaged by Annmaria Mazzini, A Chorus Line directed, choreographed, and restaged by Luis Villabon as an Offstage Cover/Swing at the Pennsylvania Shakespeare Festival, the role of Rolf in The Sound of Music Directed by John Bell, and now I am touring and performing with the Dance Company MOMIX in their newest show Alice. While touring with MOMIX I've had the opportunity to perform both domestically and internationally including Italy, The Netherlands, Israel, China, Chili, Uruguay, and Brazil. In addition to dancing, acting, and singing, I hold a black belt in traditional Karate, Jeet Kune Do, and Lee Jun Fan Gung Fu and an ADAPT (Art du Deplacement and Parkour Teaching) Parkour Coaching Certification with additional ADAPT CPD in Strength Training for Movement.
